Stop Carb Loading
Unless you are a professional athlete you don’t need anywhere near as many carbs as you’re probably eating right now. In fact, even some of the most popular diet plans out there include an inordinate amount of carbohydrate and they tell you to eat it at some of the worst times of the day.
Did you know that your body metabolizes carbohydrates much more slowly within the first 2 hours of you waking up than at any other part of the day? And what are we eating to lose weight? Breakfast cereal, whole-grain toast, oatmeal… none of these things will help you lose weight in the first place and eating them in the morning is even worse.
The average person needs about 15 grams of carbs per day. That’s it. And those should be complex carbs like you find in most vegetables, not the simple ones found in breads and cereals. If you have to have that whole grain bread, save it for lunch. Your body will process it much more efficiently.
