1. Aruba, Bonaire, and Curacao

When you think of hurricane season and where you’d want to be should a big storm come through, the Caribbean islands are probably the last place on earth you’d want to visit. However, these three lucky islands lie on the outside of ‘hurricane alley’ and therefore might receive a bit a rain, but it’s most of the time nothing to cancel your plans over.

With incredible Dutch architecture, excellent beaches, and a wide array of fun activities like diving, these gems should be an option on your list. It’s not to say these island beauties never get bad weather, but the weather always seems terrible each year if you’re looking at your TV screen.

In reality, about 50% of the time there are people sunning their buns while you’re cooped up at home. Definitely consider the “ABC” islands during off season (June to November) so you can save a few bucks and extend your stay.
