Work at Home Jobs to Avoid:

Assembling Products at Home

Assembly jobs are a popular scam that has been around for years. In fact, it even predates the Internet. The hustle looks something like this:

You respond to an ad that claims you can make “hundreds of dollars” assembling all kinds of things from home, usually crafts and low-quality knick-knacks. There’s just one catch – you have to purchase a kit with all the components. As for selling your wares once you’ve emptied out your hot glue gun, there really isn’t that much help in that arena. Often there isn’t any. It’s a “minor detail” the scammer fails to mention.
