The cool thing about edX is that they not only list the courses, but you can browse and select courses from specific universities and colleges. Just a glance at the home page reveals courses from schools like Harvard, MIT, and UC Berkley. 

Some courses are self-paced and you can begin them anytime, others are real-time scheduled classes that begin and end on specific dates.
