3. Use only real sugar or honey and use them in moderation as a sweetener. Never use artificial sweeteners and ditch the diet soft drinks immediately. They’re only keeping you fat. True story.
4. Eat at least a 3:1 ratio of protein to carbohydrate and keep your intake of grains to a minimum. Also keep your vegetable intake at the same level or slightly below your protein intake and eat both together. Never eat the salad first. Eat it with your entree or, preferably, after.
5. Quit your commercial diet and start preparing your own food. It’s the only way to really learn how to eat right.
If you follow these steps, you can enjoy all the protein you want without counting calories or weighing portions and you will not only lose weight, you’ll learn to eat better and you won’t ever still be hungry at the end of a meal.
